The Hamad Medical Corporation TB-Communicable Disease Center is a 65-bed infectious diseases hospital situated in Rumailah, Qatar.
Replacing an existing facility, the main building consists of four floors and offers an in-patient unit, as well as other associated facilities required for treating TB.
Ancillary structures comprise a substation and an underground water tank with an area of 282 m². Comprehensive external works include paving, roads, landscaping, shaded parking, potable water supply, fire protection, irrigation, drainage, power distribution, and external lighting.
A G+3 building, which includes a services room on the roof, the project has a built-up area of 8,950 m² on a plot area of 11,170 m² and also features green areas and shaded parking for 104 cars.
With a highly specialized team of physicians and nurses and experienced support staff, the hospital is also designed to dedicate significant resources to medical informatics.
A focus on immunology and infections will assist with data collection and enable the facility to play a key role in supporting Qatar’s national public health initiatives.
